The municipal boat launch is expected to be available for public use beginning Thursday, April 26.
Installation of the floating wharfs is currently underway and will be in place in time for the 42nd Annual Bluewater Anglers Salmon Derby.
The following components have been completed:
- Fixed wharfs
- Pre-cast ramp panels
- Grading of the parking lot
- Sidewalks with accessible tactile plates
- Ramp and wharf concrete
Upon completion of the floating wharfs, the only outstanding project components will be paving of the parking lot and installation of the fee payment machine.
The boat launch and parking lot will be temporarily closed for approximately two weeks in May, when asphalt plants are re-opened, to allow for paving of the parking lot. Boat launch fees will not apply until the project has been completed.
The boat launch will re-open for public use after paving occurs. Bridgeview Marina will accommodate boat launches prior to April 26 and during the paving period.
