We are pleased to announce that Ms. Stacey Forfar has accepted the position of Director of Community Development Services and Standards (CDSS) at the City of Sarnia. The position oversees Planning, Building, By-Law Enforcement and Economic Development. Her start date with the City will be July 8, 2019. Ms. Forfar will be replacing Alan Shaw who left to take a position with the City of Toronto. She comes to us from the Town of New Tecumseth where she was the Manager of Development Planning. Prior to that, she held positions of Manager of Growth Planning for the City of Barrie; Manager, Development Planning and Business Process Improvement for the City of Kingston; and Deputy Commissioner, Growth and Community Enrichment Services with the City of Saint John, New Brunswick.   

Ms. Forfar holds a Master of Business Administration from the Royal Military College and an undergraduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning.  She is a Registered Professional Planner and a member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute, Canadian Institute of Planners and the American Planning Association.
