On November 1, 2018, overnight parking on City of Sarnia streets will end.
Overnight, on-street parking restrictions are in effect from November 1 to March 30, annually. Any vehicle parked on a City street between 2:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. will be in violation of the By-Law and can be ticketed. There will be no exemptions granted during this period (except by permit).
“Overnight, on-street parking restrictions enable the City to conduct necessary snow removal work throughout months where snowfall is expected,” explains Adam MacDonald, Supervisor, By-Law Enforcement.
Overnight parking of licensed personal automobiles and motorcycles on residential streets is allowed between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. from April 1 to October 31, annually. These vehicles can park on the street for a maximum of 12 hours.
