The City of Sarnia is holding public information sessions regarding internet and telephone voting in the 2018 municipal election.

Sarnia City Council approved internet and telephone voting as the sole voting method for the 2018 municipal election. In an effort to ensure voters are informed of how to vote, the Clerk’s Department will host four public information sessions.

The municipal election is held for the following offices: mayor, city/county councillors, city councillors, and school board trustees.

The City of Sarnia is committed to accessible and convenient voting for all Sarnia electors. Eligible voters can vote using a telephone, computer, cell phone, iPad, tablet, or laptop. This is an accessible, environmentally-friendly, and convenient method of voting.

Internet voting provides voters with flexibility and convenience, reduces wait times at voting locations, delivers quick and accurate results, and allows students and vacationers to vote from anywhere.

If you do not have access to a device to vote online or a telephone, or if you require assistance, you may visit a voter help centre at:

  • Sarnia City Hall from October 11 to October 22 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm weekdays, and on Saturdays 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for internet and telephone voting assistance;
